Susan Weiland
Director of Community Affairs
Susan Weiland is the heart of SMILE and the steady force behind its compassion. Her journey began in the nonprofit community as a Direct Support Professional, where her warmth, strength, and fierce sense of purpose quickly set her apart. What began as a job became a calling to build lives of independence, dignity, and joy for people with developmental disabilities.
Kim Koppenal
Administrator
Kim originally joined the SMILE team in June 2016, serving as Administrator until October 2018. She returned to her position as Administrator in May 2019. She holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education from East Stroudsburg University and has 25 years of experience working in educational, day program, vocational, and residential settings.
